Where the Dead Rise (& Groove) aka Fancy Noise Vol. 2 is the official sequel to Fancy Noise Vol. 1 which was released as a DejaGravy EP in 2009. When Volume 1 was released, DejaGravy was a solo musical outlet for Vater. Since DejaGravy has been a doom band since 2012, Vater needed a new band name. Thus, Vater's Vibrators.

This album was recorded between depression naps, dog walks, and horror films, March 2020-May 2021.
